Technical Inspection Authority (TUEV) project successfully finished

The D-LABS GmbH successfully finished a major project with TUEV NORD Mobilität– a technical inspection authority company. The design consulting company from Potsdam and its approach caught the attention of the TUEV Nord CIO during an IT exhibition and the decision for a project with D-LABS was made. The primary objective of the project was implementing user-centered design for the interface of the TUEV software application for car inspections.

During the project it was assured that user requirements were continuously considered within the new application. Therefore, the multi-disciplinary D-LABS team - consisting of User Researchers and Interaction Designers – concentrated on intuitive user guidance and optimal process support. Useless information on the screen was minimized and a well arranged navigation concept supports now the process steps during the car inspection. Training and service effort could be reduced significantly.

The conclusion of Mr. Hoerger, head of division IT TUEV NORD Mobilität, was positive: “It was no easy decision to assign someone external, but the decision was the right! The results of the project with D-LABS are convincing!” Due to the successful project, TUEV aims now for further projects with D-LABS in other portfolio services.
